Residents and other Jackson staff have remote access to the Calder Library's resources for up to one year and must renew their account each year. You will need a UMID/C#. Residents may find their C# and CaneID on their onboarding packet.
To apply for remote access, complete the online form at the following link: https://umiami.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2f9YjBOrgePQmy1. Once completed, please wait 1 to 2 business days to access your account.
If you are an observer for longer than a month, you may request remote access for the duration of your stay by completing the form at the following link: https://umiami.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2f9YjBOrgePQmy1. Once completed, please wait 1 to 2 business days to access your account.
To complete your access request form, you will need a UMID/C#.
If you have worked or studied before at UM, you may use your existing C#.
If you have not previously worked or studied at UM before, apply for a UMID/C# at the following link: https://caneidhelp.miami.edu/caneid/registration?execution=e1s1. Set your role as “other” and click on “I do not know my UMID or SSN” to start the application. You will receive a CaneID and C# you may use to complete the remote access request form and log in to your account.
If the duration of your stay is less than a month, you may use the library computers and books onsite at the Calder Library.
