Use the uSearch discovery system on the top right of the Calder Library website. Make sure to select “Library Catalog” from the uSearch drop-down menu before running the search. You may search by title, author, topic, or other keywords.
The Library Catalog option will allow you to search for print materials in the Libraries.
Each search result will contain a “Call Number,” which indicates the item’s library and shelf location. In the example below, the call number indicates the book is available at the Calder (Medical) Library in the second floor shelves.
To locate the book onsite, find the shelf that contains that range, then follow the call number in alphanumeric order. In the example above, that would mean finding the shelf that contains the Ws, then following the shelves to the WKs, then the 800s, then the 830s, etc. For more information about using call numbers, see the call number FAQ.
