Refine your uSearch results by using the filters available on the left side of the screen. Look for the section called, “Resource Type”. Click on the box next to “Book Chapters”, then click on “Apply Filters”.

You can also search for information in book chapters in our textbook databases, such as AccessMedicine and ClinicalKey. You can access these databases via the “Databases” link in the “Start Your Research” or “Popular Resources” sections on the Calder Library website.

Once you are on a database like AccessMedicine, run a search for your topic.

Your search results will include book chapters amongst other types of information.

Here is an example using the ClinicalKey database. You can run a keyword search related to your topic.

There is an option in ClinicalKey to filter your search results by “Source Type”. Select the “Books” option, and your search results will be refined to “Chapter Excerpts” from books included in ClinicalKey.
